Featuring Remixes by DoubtingThomas, Dr.Nojoke, Sven Laux and Others / Out Now on Mesa Recordings

LOS ANGELES, CA – May 13, 2015 – Mesa Recordings is gearing up to release Mesa Remixed 1, a full-length compilation showcasing brand new remixes of eighteen songs from the Santa Fe-based electronic-music label’s inspired back catalog. The project conveys an expansive, organic sound that invokes the vibrant spirit of the annual desert mesa parties from which the label takes both its name and its aesthetic: lush melodies, rich harmonies and funky, beat-driven grooves; what might be more clinically described as tech-house. Mesa Remixed 1 – featuring remixes from DoubtingThomasDr.NojokeSven Laux and several other international artists – is out now via iTunes, Amazon, Beatport, Juno and other outlets.

Mesa Remixed 1 —
“We reached out to some of our favorite producers and asked them to reinterpret tracks from the Mesa catalog. So, the album is about the Mesa sound essentially, and exploring that with artists from around the globe,” says Mesa Recordings’ Brian Mayhall of the forthcoming release. Indeed, Mesa Remixed 1 features musicians from five countries: Germany, Italy, Serbia, Brazil and the United States.

Praise for Mesa Recordings —
David Last’s music is so rich and so righteous that it makes my heart ache. His latest full length, Early, came out this week on Mesa. Listening to the LP is like having a life-changing religious experience in the middle of the desert, set to deep house.” — Vice
Born of the arid desert lands of New Mexico, the electronic music showcased by Mesa Recordings is more likely to play on radio stations in Berlin, London, and Sydney than the American Southwest.”  Santa Fe New Mexican
Mesa is a testament to how a can-do attitude mixed with positive local interaction and downright stellar product can come together to create a music machine that actually values material over marketing.” — Santa Fe Reporter
